Bluefaced Leicesters

We have one ram left for the 2011 Breeding season;
Harry (pictured below) is a non-registerable BFL X BL ram lamb born 4-26-11
$250
Harry's best features are his excellent fiber and long loin.  He is a nice large lamb, and was one of triplets.  He is halter trained, up to date on vaccinations, wormings, and hoof trims.

Wool Breed Crosses
We have BFL X Shetland lambs and BFL X Border Leicester lambs expected this April.  We halter train our lambs to make them easy to handle. They are calm, tame, make excellent pets and produce wonderful quality hand-spinning wool.  All of our ram crosses are neutered.  Because a neutered ram does not experience hormonal fluctuations, "wethers" produce the nicest quality wool of all.  They are friendly and you can make them into pets without the worry of them becoming dangerous.

Organic Grass-fed Market Lamb
We often have market lambs available.  Lambs are raised organically in a clean, sheep-happy environment to an age of 7-12 months.  Lamb is processed to your specifications and frozen.   Our grass-fed lamb has a wonderful light flavor with very little fat.  One processed  lamb will provide 2 leg roasts, 2 tenderloin roasts, multiple bundles of lamb chops, 2 shoulder roasts, and lamb burger.  We can save shanks for soup bones on request at no additional charge.

Grass raised lamb has a high concentration of conjugated linoleic acid, a naturally occurring chemical that is recognized as an anti-oxidant, anti-cancer, and anti-heart-disease agent.  Lamb is known to be very digestible, which makes it a good meat for people who have various gastrointestinal difficulties.  You will be surprised how light and non-greasey our lamb is!

Lamb prices vary by weight and amount purchased, but the average cost of a processed whole lamb is $5/lb. with an average weight of 45- 50 pounds of processed meat.  Local pick-up only.

We currently have no Dorper stock available. Our next lamb crop will be due in early 2012.

We will be selling both ram and ewe lambs this year.

Please check back with us, or call to reserve your 2012 lamb.

Market Lambs

We have several nice market-age lambs for sale.  They will be best from December 2011 through April 2012.

We charge market value, but you will be getting an organically-raised grass-fed lamb, which beats the traditional market lamb, hands down!

If you prefer, we can take your lamb in to Groff's Meats in Elizabethtown for you to pick up after processing.

If you wish to process your lamb here, we can accomodate you.
